Part X: Comments

Update Menu, option 10, Comments — This option is used to add, change, and delete free form information that pertains to an investigation.

Note: This screen is only available to individuals with special security class access.

To Access the Comment Option:

  1. Type 10 at the cursor.

    OR

    Position the cursor next to the Comments option.

  2. Select the Enter key. The Part X: Comments screen is displayed.

To Add Comments:

  1. Complete the field as follows:

    SSNO

    Agency/Bureau

  2. Select the Enter key. A system message SSNO Obtained is displayed.
  3. Complete the fields as follows:

    Name

    Comments

  4. Select the Enter key. The message Data Successfully Modified is displayed.

    At this point, the following options are available:

    • Select the F5 key to display the Help screen and to obtain assistance in completing any field.
    • Select the F12 key and repeat the above process or refresh the screen to query another individual’s record.
    • Select the applicable function key to perform another function or to exit.
