Frames

Guideline

Frames and iframes must have a meaningful description using the title attribute.

Intent

The intent of this regulation is to provide a label for the frame so users can determine which frame to enter and explore in detail.

Finding Applicable Components

Run the WorldSpace Attest browser extension to identify any frames without title attributes.

Inspecting and Using Components

Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Failure Conditions

Reporting Test Results

Any failure in Section 508 Failure Conditions results in: Fails Baseline Requirement #23.

Each frame or iframe has a meaningful and unique title or name then: Passes Baseline Requirement #23.

For sharing test results between Agencies, the results of Section 508 Conditions and Reporting Test Results must be reported.
