Inactivating Accounting Codes

HR Administrators may inactivate account codes when they are no longer needed.

To Inactivate an Accounting Code:

  1. Select the Account button on the HR Administrator Main Menu page. The Account Management page is displayed.

  2. Select the Edit button. The Search for Account page is displayed.

    Complete the fields as follows:

    Field

    Instruction

    Fiscal Year

    Enter the fiscal year.

    Program Code

    Enter the program code.

    Function

    Enter the function code.

    Description

    Enter the description of the accounting code.

    Note: Entering a partial accounting code or description will return any account whose account numbers or descriptions contain the information entered. Boxes or fields left empty will return a list of all the accounts available to you.

  3. Select the Find Account button. The Browse for Account page is displayed with accounts matching the search criteria listed.

  4. Uncheck the applicable box to inactive the accounting code.
  5. Select the Update button. The Browse for Account page is updated with the accounting code inactivated.

  6. Select the Return button to return to the previous page.
