Adding New Accounting Codes

HR Administrators are responsible for adding accounting codes for use in webTA.

To Create a New Accounting Code:

  1. Select the Accounts button on the HR Administrator Main Menu page. The Account Management page is displayed.

  2. Select the Add button. The Account Creation Wizard page is displayed.

    Note: The fields on the Account Creation Wizard page may differ depending on Agency requirements.

  3. Complete the fields as follows:

    Field

    Instruction

    Fiscal Year

    Enter the fiscal year.

    Program Code

    Enter the program code.

    Function

    Enter the function.

    Description

    Enter the description of the new accounting code.

  4. Select the Continue button The Account Creation Wizard page displays your entries.

    Note: You may select the Finish button to save after completing you entries, but it is recommended that you verify the account information before saving.

  5. Verify the account information.

    Note: Select the Prev button to return to previous page to make edits, if necessary.

  6. Select the Finish button to save the account.
