TNAINST (Time and Attendance Instructions)

TNAINST provides instructions and reference information for (1) timekeepers to record time in pay status, paid leave, and leave without pay (LWOP) and (2) supervisors to certify that the data recorded by the timekeeper is accurate. It also incorporates timekeeping requirements specified by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Policy and Procedures Manual and Title 5 of the Code of Federal Regulations (5 CFR) Parts 1-699 and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

  • Military Leave

    Employees who are called to active duty, active duty training, or inactive duty training are entitled to military leave. Employees are also entitled to use any accrued annual leave for periods of active military duty. Employees using annual leave will receive their full civilian pay, as well as compensation for their military service.
