Editing a Host Dataset on the Workstation
The editor searches the ISPF libraries in the designated order to find the member and copy it to the workstation. The dataset name is converted to the workstation file name, and that name is appended to the workstation’s current working directory. The host dataset is transferred to the workstation, and the working file is then passed to the user’s chosen edit program.
