Description

Edit for TIME to compute the Paid Parental Leave (PPL) entitlement hours using the formula 12 weeks X (Tour of Duty/2) = Total PPL Hours. Based on the prefix used with TC 62, TIME could possibly compute up to 3 PPL Total Hours (1 for each Type of PPL allowed: 70-Birth, 71-Adoption, and/or 72-Fostering). For firefighters, the Tour of Duty would include the AUO/AP STANDBY HOURS WK(1) and AUO/AP STANDBY HOURS WK(2).

If prefix 70-72 with TC 62 is included on the T&A, and the PPL Balance is blank, TIME will compute the total PPL hours and update the prefix, PPL Balance, Start PP, and Start Year.

If the prefix 70-72 with TC 62 is included on the T&A, and the PPL Balance contains hours or zeros, TIME will not compute the total PPL hours and will not update the prefix, PPL Balance, Start PP, and Start Year. PAYE will reduce the PPL Balance each pay period by the PPL hours that are used.
