187 - Employee Exceeded Temporary Promotion NTE Date

Description

Error: An employee exceeds his/her temporary promotion not-to-exceed (NTE) date this pay period.

The employee was temporarily promoted and cannot work beyond the NTE date at the higher grade; however, the Time and Attendance (T&A) Report reflects the employee working beyond the NTE date.

NFC Action

None. If the employee exceeds the NTE date in the first pay period, the T&A does not reject. If the employee exceeds the NTE date in a subsequent pay period, the T&A cannot be force released. A personnel action is required. Payroll/Personnel Report Generator System (CULPRPT) report P0099, Error Analysis for T&A Processing, lists T&As that require the processing of a personnel action to release the T&A from suspense.

Agency Action: Either (1) demote or permanently promote the employee or (2) extend the temporary promotion.
