Advanced Leave Used Exceeds NTE Date

Description

Error: A negative leave balance extends beyond the appointment expiration date.

Employees with temporary appointments cannot be advanced leave that would extend beyond the not-to-exceed (NTE) date. Leave that has been advanced must be paid back by the time the appointment ends for the following temporary appointments.

Type of Appointment codes:

  • 4 - Competitive (Temporary)
  • 9 - Excepted (Temporary)
