Summary
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has issued updates to Chapter 11 of the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA) and to the Enterprise Human Resources Integration (EHRI) Data Standards to support U.S. Tech Force Fellowship appointments.

Implementation
OPM added Note 3 to GPPA Chapter 11, Table 11-A, under Rules 3 and 4, to support the use of the new codes. The note reads as follows: If an appointment is to a U.S. Tech Force position, use W9S as LAC1 and YTF as LAC2 with required remark A42.
TMGT
The following TMGT tables have been updated to add the new LAC2 and remark code:
- TMGT Table 052, Remarks Code and Descriptions
- TMGT Table 061, Nature of Action Conversion
- TMGT Table 091, OPM NOA Legal Authorities
EmpowHR, the Agency's Front-End System Interface (FESI), and Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC Web)
Users may use the new LAC2 and remark code in EmpowHR, the Agency's FESI, and EPIC Web.
- Legal Authority: YTF - US Tech Force Fellow.
- Remark Code: A42 - Employee subject to employment restrictions under 213.3102(r).
Note: Agencies wishing to use the YTF LAC2 must submit a ServiceNow request to update TMGT Table 061, Nature of Action Conversion. Prior to submitting the request, please check the table to see if it's been added. To ensure accuracy, please include a prefilled screenshot identifying the table information requiring updates.
