For security purposes, additional inactivity parameters have been added to EmpowHR.

Implementation

Inactivity Access Parameters:

Notifications of user accounts not used for a period of 30 days and 60 days are sent to division/staff security coordinators and Agency security officers.

NFC will send three notice of inactivity emails to the email address on file:

At 60 days of inactivity, the account will be locked.

At 120 days of inactivity, the account will have roles and data-level security removed.

Note: Accounts will be disabled, and all roles and data-level security will be removed for separated employees. Accounts will be disabled for all employees transferring from one Agency to another. All roles, data-level security, and primary permission lists will be removed for transferring employees. The gaining organization may request the correct information once the employee has transferred.

The EmpowHR Basics Procedure, which is available online at the NFC website, is being updated to include information in this bulletin. To view and/or print procedures, select HR and Payroll Clients from the MyNFC drop-down menu on the NFC Home page. At the HR and Payroll Clients page select the Publications tab and select NFC System Documentation from the Publications Library section to access the procedure manuals.
