Summary

Information on processing individual/group National Finance Center (NFC)-disbursed spot awards during the final Pay Periods (PP) of calendar year 2024 is provided below.

Implementation

Spot awards that are processed with Nature of Action Codes 841/849/887/889, Authority Code PAY, and Award Code C100 on the nightly schedule will be handled in the following manner:

• If processed by the Agency during PP 24, 2024, processing and disbursement will occur during the normal processing time frames and will be reported as part of tax year 2024.
• If processed by the Agency during PP 25 or PP 26, 2024, the awards will be held in suspense with the Personnel Input and Edit System (PINE) Document Type 110-Incentive Awards, Edit Message 149, Award with "Pay" Auth Held to Avoid Corrected W-2. These awards will be processed by NFC in PP 01, 2025, and will be reported as part of tax year 2025.
