National Finance Center (NFC) Employee Personal Page (EPP) Security Changes for Banking Information

Reference Number: NFC-24-1727800321
Published: October 7, 2024
Effective: Pay Period 19, 2024

Summary

NFC has added a security enhancement to EPP allowing users to unmask personally identifiable information (PII). This option is available under preferences and it affects the viewing of Direct Deposit, Financial Allotments, Health Savings Account (HSA), and Discretionary Allotments. Users are now required to enter an additional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) one-time passcode (OTP) to unmask PII or change banking information.

Note: This additional security will only affect users logging in via an EPP user ID and password with a one-time passcode (OTP). Users logging into EPP via PIV/Login.gov will not be prompted for the additional MFA OTP.
