Summary

Per the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) data standards dated March 25, 2013, updates have been made to EmpowHR and the Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC Web). The Special Employee Code descriptions for codes 42 and 43 have been modified in both applications.

The Special Employee Codes are available under PAR Processing > Hire Employee > Job > NFC Job Information located in the Payroll section.

EPIC Web

The Special Employment Program codes are available under Accessions > Misc.

To view the procedures, select HR and Payroll Clients from the MyNFC drop-down menu on the NFC Home page. At the HR and Payroll Clients page, select the Publications tab and select the applicable category to access the procedure manual within the category.
